List of College Departments

Department of Science and Humanities has started its journey in the year 1962 with the inception of this institute when Departments Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering offered four years LME and LEE courses respectively. The aim of this department is to support the other engineering departments in science subject as well as in humanities. Mainly theory and laboratories classes of following subjects are taken by this department –

1. Physics
2. Chemistry
3. Mathematics
4. Communicative English
5. Economics & Accountancy
6. Development of Life Skill

Theoretical subjects mentioned in serial number 1,2 & 6 are backed up by sufficient laboratory facilities. The department frequently arrange seminar and workshop. Also, renowned personalities from the different academia institutions are often invited to deliver lectures on the state of the art topics.

The inception of Computer Science & Technology Department was in 2007. After a journey of decade the Computer Science & Technology Department comes to its present condition offering three years diploma course with an intake of 30 students per year and two years diploma course with an intake of 06 students per year. The department provides laboratory facilities to the students of both diploma courses.

The laboratories belong to this department are mentioned below:

1. Computer fundamental Laboratory
2. Programming Laboratory
3. CAD Laboratory

Each theoretical course is backed up by sufficient laboratory experiments. Departmental faculty members always take care of the academic affairs of the students. The department gives supports the other two departments Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science by taken theory and laboratory classes like Electrical Technology, Fundamental of electronics, Principle of Electrical Engineering etc. This department also gets supports from the faculty members other two departments Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science who take theory and laboratory classes like Technical Drawing, Engineering Mechanics, Strength of Material, Power Plant engineering, Computer Fundamental etc.

The department frequently arrange seminar and workshop. Also, renowned personalities from the different academia institutions are often invited to deliver lectures on the state of the art topics.

Many students get employment in the final year of the course through campus interviews and many opt for higher studies after qualifying examinations JELET.

The inception of Electrical Engineering Department was in 1962 when it offered four years LEE course. After a journey of few decades the Electrical Engineering Department comes to its present condition offering three years diploma course with an intake of 40 students per year and two years diploma course with an intake of 08 students per year. The department provides laboratory facilities to the students of both diploma courses.

The laboratories belong to this department are mentioned below:

1. Electrical Machine Laboratory
2. Electrical Measurement Laboratory
3. Power System Laboratory
4. Communicative English
5. Electronics Laboratory
6. Digital Electronics Laboratory

Each theoretical course is backed up by sufficient laboratory experiments. The students of this department may well claim the honour of being trained in the most sophisticated and state-of the art laboratories available in the state. The Workshop facilities provide hands-on training.
